Welcome to the specialist group for the event "On the road to acceptance: successfully shaping the transport transition". Here you will find the presentation for the event on 10.07.24 from 10:00 - 11:00 am. This specialist group offers our network members the opportunity to exchange ideas with the speaker Uwe Böhm, to access and download the presentation, and to network and stay in touch with each other. Push measures are among the most effective instruments for successfully shaping the transport transition. At the same time, they are considered to be the most problematic measures, as their implementation often meets with resistance. In a keynote speech, the question of how implementation can succeed despite this tension will be explored. In addition to current research findings, exciting good practices will also be presented. In a subsequent discussion round, participants will be able to contribute their questions and experiences. Together we would like to draw conclusions as to how this topic can be taken forward in the metropolitan region. Speaker Dr. Uwe Böhme Research associate SUM:research - Sustainable Mobilities Research Group Nürtingen-Geislingen University for Economy and Environment

The Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region has recognized the bioeconomy as an important future field and included it in its regional development concept in 2020. The focus is on the topics of "residual biomass for material use", "CO2 recycling" and "urban mining". The fields of action of our specialist group include the areas of "Residual material supply and utilization potential", "Market demand and economic potential", "Political and legal framework conditions" and "Information and knowledge transfer". In the individual areas, the aim is to create transparency about the supply of biogenic residual materials, to reduce regulatory barriers to the recycling of waste as a residual material and to improve single-variety processing. Another concern is to raise general awareness of the bioeconomy in the region. Overall, the work in our specialist group serves to establish new value chains in order to recycle biogenic materials, achieve regional value creation and establish sustainable business models.

Geo-information, i.e. digital data and information with a local reference, is increasingly important in almost all areas of life, business and administration. Route planning and mobility applications, energy supply and infrastructure planning, environmental planning and sustainability, regional development, public services and citizen participation - there is hardly an area that can do without geoinformation technology today. The "Geoinformation Network of the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region e.V." (GeoNet.MRN) is committed to the social benefit, improved accessibility and responsible use of geoinformation. To this end, we network people, promote the interdisciplinary exchange of information and raise awareness of the importance of geoinformation in society. Stakeholders from companies, research institutions and administrations in the Rhine-Neckar region therefore founded the non-profit association "Netzwerk Geoinformation der Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar e.V." (GeoNet.MRN) in 2011.
