20 years of MEXI: Anniversary prize with many highlights for founders

This year, the Mannheim Entrepreneurship Award (MEXI) is celebrating its 20th anniversary and is offering prize money totaling over 50,000 euros and many new surprises to mark the anniversary. Entrepreneurs who founded their company after March 31, 2021 and are based in Mannheim can apply for the MEXI until August 31, 2024. Thanks to loyal sponsors Roche, Sparkasse Rhein Neckar Nord and Essity, the winners of the three categories Technology, Services and Social Economy can once again look forward to 10,000 euros each.

There are further highlights in the anniversary year: the second and third place winners will also receive prize money of 1,500 euros and 1,000 euros respectively, sponsored by KMU GmbH & Co. And there is also a fourth category, Fashion, which is supported by the trade magazine "TextilWirtschaft" from Deutscher Fachverlag in Frankfurt.





To give the MEXI anniversary and all finalists and winners a big stage, the Mannheim Economic and Structural Development Agency and NEXT MANNHEIM will celebrate the winners of all four categories in Mannheim's Musikpark on September 19, 2024 from 5 pm. The successful start-ups can then present themselves at the Mannheim Economic Forum in November 2024 and receive the coveted prize sculptures.





To apply, entrepreneurs must have founded their company after March 31, 2021 and be based in Mannheim.

Those interested in founding a company can apply until August 31, 2024.
