AWO Kreisverband Mannheim e. V. The welfare association AWO - INNOVATION FROM TRADITION Arbeiterwohlfahrt is a non-profit, independent and non-denominational welfare association. Its fundamental values of freedom, justice, tolerance and solidarity, anchored in the labor movement, embody its history and social (political) mission. This means that we have been observing and reacting to current social challenges and new needs in the city of Mannheim for more than 90 years. We are constantly adapting our services in order to fulfill our mission. AWO - THE PEOPLE AT THE CENTER At Arbeiterwohlfahrt, the heart is not just a symbol, it is a message: the individual person is at the center of everything we do. The district association maintains 15 inpatient facilities and over 30 outpatient assistance, advice and support services. This is made possible by our most important asset: our approx. 650 employees. AWO - MEMBERSHIP AND COMMITMENT The welfare association in Mannheim is supported by 12 local associations with around 850 members who are committed to a socially just society through their voluntary work.
