In this hydrogen specialist group , cluster members receive exclusive information on the topic of hydrogen in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region. You will also have the opportunity to network and transfer knowledge. We will provide and maintain the basic information, but the platform is designed so that you can help shape it.
Under Events you will find an overview of the planned events in the network. You are also welcome to post your hydrogen event here.
In the first step,News contains current calls for funding and information on past events and press reports. You are welcome to supplement the information with your press reports and pictures.
In the documents section we have uploaded studies, presentations, information material and publications. It is planned to add meeting reports to this section.

Hydrogen is one of the main topics of the Future Fields and Innovations department. The HyLand project H2Rivers has created an ecosystem that enables further projects to be established.
The aim of Metropolregion GmbH as a regional development company is to establish and consolidate a resilient and economically viable hydrogen ecosystem. The work can be divided into three pillars:
Supporting stakeholders in getting started with hydrogen and informing the public
- Exchange of experience and knowledge,

- Networking of partners and politics
- Regional coordination: Overview of activities and alignment across projects,

H2Rivers & H2 RHein-Neckar - The largest hydrogen demonstration project in the south-west
The mission: green hydrogen produced locally, used for public transport and logistics. The interrelated H2Rivers and H2Rhine-Neckar projects make the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region one of the largest showcases for hydrogen technology. Various sub-projects cover the entire value chain, from the production of green hydrogen to infrastructure and the use of hydrogen in fuel cell vehicles.
