The city of Grünstadt's cycling concept was developed to create a safe, comfortable and comprehensive cycling network for everyday cycling. The aim is to increase the attractiveness of cycling as a means of transportation by creating short and low gradient connections. The concept is based on a comprehensive analysis of existing routes, danger spots and infrastructure. Important measures include the improvement of routes, the removal of obstacles and the creation of bicycle parking facilities. In addition, central connections between districts, residential areas and important facilities such as train stations and schools are to be expanded. By connecting to supra-regional routes, Grünstadt will be more closely integrated into the regional cycling network.
